Normal pressure section: Use the twin-screw main engine specially calculated and designed by the company to reasonably and fully provide sufficient air source for the second-stage high-pressure section single-screw main engine.

The entire series is equipped with permanent magnet variable frequency motor as standard, combined with vector frequency conversion technology, which can adjust the speed according to the change of coarse and dense sensing gas volume, making it more efficient and energy-saving.

The primary compressed air produced in the atmospheric pressure section undergoes preliminary oil and gas separation and a cooler, and then passes through a standard external refrigerant, which has better water resistance, before entering the high-pressure section for compression, making it closer to isothermal compression and more efficient.

Secondary high pressure section: reliable single screw air end. Smaller internal leakage, better lubrication efficiency, and higher volumetric efficiency.

Relying on the symmetrical structural advantage of the single screw, the meshing pair has better dynamic balance, the bearing force is smaller, and the service life is longer.

The star wheel is made of high molecular PEEK or carbon fiber material, which has better wear resistance and pressure resistance.

The permanent magnet motor is combined with vector frequency conversion technology to accurately adjust the pressure and flow. The pressure regulation range can be selected from 1.6 to 4.0 MPa, and the flow rate can be customized from 3 to 40 m3/min.

Why Choose an Oil-free Medium Pressure Screw Air Compressor? Benefits and Applications Explained

A medium pressure micro oil screw air compressor is a type of rotary screw air compressor designed to operate in the medium pressure range, typically between 7 to 25 bar (100 to 375 psi). This compressor uses a pair of interlocking helical rotors to compress the air, and the term “micro oil” refers to the lubrication system that involves a small amount of oil to reduce friction and wear while maintaining high efficiency.

The key difference between micro oil and conventional oil lubrication systems is that the oil is carefully metered and typically used in minimal quantities. This helps achieve optimal lubrication without causing excess contamination of the compressed air. The micro oil design is a balanced approach, providing the benefits of oil-lubricated systems, such as reduced friction and better heat dissipation, while minimizing the amount of oil in the compressed air, thus ensuring cleaner air output for sensitive applications.

Micro-Oil Lubrication Technology Principles

Micro-oil lubrication in screw compressors involves injecting a small amount of oil into the compression chamber. The oil serves two primary functions: lubrication and cooling. By coating the screw rotors and internal parts, the oil reduces friction, which increases efficiency and extends the lifespan of the compressor.

Unlike traditional oil-injected screw compressors, which may release larger quantities of oil into the compressed air, micro oil compressors are designed to minimize the amount of oil in the output air. The system typically incorporates a high-efficiency oil separator that captures and removes most of the oil from the air before it exits the compressor, ensuring that the air is cleaner and suitable for applications where air purity is critical.

This micro-oil technology is beneficial for environments that require high efficiency but need to avoid the oil contamination that might be introduced by traditional oil-lubricated compressors. The precise control of oil use also reduces operational costs and environmental impact, making it a preferred choice for industries that need to balance performance with sustainability.

Comparison with Traditional Compressors

When comparing medium pressure micro oil screw air compressors to traditional compressor types, such as piston compressors and oil-free compressors, several key differences emerge. These distinctions highlight the advantages of the micro oil screw design, especially in terms of efficiency, durability, cost-effectiveness, and application versatility.

Comparison with Piston Compressors

One of the most significant advantages of medium pressure micro oil screw air compressors over traditional piston compressors is their higher efficiency and longer service life. Piston compressors, while effective in certain low-pressure applications, tend to be less efficient when operating at medium pressures. Their mechanical components, such as pistons and valves, experience significant wear and tear during continuous operation, which can lead to higher maintenance costs and reduced lifespan. In contrast, the helical rotor design of micro oil screw compressors allows for smoother and more efficient compression, resulting in less mechanical stress on the components and reduced wear over time.

Additionally, micro oil screw compressors are better suited for continuous medium-pressure applications. Piston compressors often struggle to maintain consistent performance under continuous operation due to their cycling nature. The piston action leads to intermittent pressure fluctuations, which can be detrimental to processes requiring steady airflow. Medium pressure micro oil screw compressors, on the other hand, are designed to provide a continuous and stable air supply, making them ideal for industrial environments where uptime is critical.

Comparison with Oil-Free Compressors

While oil-free compressors offer the advantage of producing clean, oil-free air, they often come at a significantly higher initial cost and lower efficiency compared to micro oil screw compressors. The micro-oil lubrication system used in medium pressure screw compressors provides a balance between cost and performance. While they use a small amount of oil for lubrication, the oil consumption is minimal, and it does not impact the quality of the compressed air significantly. This design allows for improved performance at a lower operational cost when compared to oil-free compressors, which can be more expensive to maintain and operate.

Another key advantage is the wider range of applicable industries for micro oil screw compressors. Oil-free compressors are often required in industries where air purity is of utmost importance, such as in pharmaceuticals or food processing. However, medium pressure micro oil screw compressors offer a more flexible solution that can be applied across a broader spectrum of industries, including those that don’t require completely oil-free air. These industries include manufacturing, automotive, energy, and many others, where the benefits of oil-lubricated compressors, such as lower operating costs and greater durability, outweigh the need for absolute oil-free air.

In summary, when compared to traditional piston compressors and oil-free compressors, medium pressure micro oil screw air compressors offer higher efficiency, longer service life, and broader applicability. Their ability to provide stable and continuous airflow makes them ideal for medium-pressure applications, while their cost-effective oil lubrication system strikes a balance between performance and operational expenses. These factors make micro oil screw compressors a more practical and versatile choice for many industrial applications.
