Reasons for high temperature alarm of air compressor
- High ambient temperature: High ambient temperature will lead to high intake air temperature of the air compressor. If the intake air temperature is too high, it will directly lead to high exhaust temperature. The solution is to add an exhaust hood on the roof of the air compressor room to control the indoor temperature from being too high. In addition, in the hot summer, when the indoor temperature is found to exceed 40°C, it should be shut down and rested.
- The lubricating oil has deteriorated or the quantity is insufficient. When the screw air compressor is working, in addition to providing lubrication, the lubricating oil also has a very important function: it is mixed with the compressed air, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the temperature of the compressed gas to a certain extent. Therefore, when the lubricating oil deteriorates or the amount is insufficient, the compressed gas cannot be cooled well, which may cause the exhaust temperature to be high.
- The screw air compressor has not been cleaned and maintained for a long time. If the air compressor does not receive the necessary cleaning and maintenance for a long time, a lot of impurities such as dust and debris will accumulate inside. These impurities will not only affect the quality of the compressed air, but also prevent it from being well cooled. It will inevitably be high.
- Abnormal cooling system: including high cooling water input temperature, low cooling water flow, unqualified cooling water quality (contains too many impurities), too much scale in the cooling system that has not been cleaned for a long time, etc. It is recommended that you do a thorough inspection of the cooling water system. Ensure that the cooling water temperature (keep at 18°C in winter and 24°C in summer) and flow rate (about 3.7 liters/second) are within the appropriate range. Please filter the cooling water to ensure its quality. Do a thorough cleaning of the cooling system.
