2 Reasons for lack of oil in screw air compressor
The screw air compressor is a long-term high-speed operation equipment. In order to ensure good operation under high-intensity operation, the parts need good lubrication. At this time, our lubricating oil plays an important role, but in daily production, we will encounter the situation of lack of oil in the unit.
Analysis of the reasons for lack of oil in screw air compressor:
1. The filter element of the oil-gas separator is too dirty or blocked.
If it is too dirty, it will affect the normal circulation of the lubricating oil and cause the equipment to overheat and shut down. This situation depends on the pressure difference before and after loading.
When the pressure difference before and after the screw air compressor is 3 times that when the unit is started or the Z pressure difference reaches 0.1MPa, it should be cleaned or replaced.
2. The oil shut-off valve of the screw air compressor is faulty.
There is an oil shut-off valve between the oil filter and the compressor. When the oil shut-off valve cannot be opened, the temperature of the screw air compressor rises rapidly after starting due to the lack of oil lubrication and cooling, and it stops automatically after a few seconds.
Remove the temperature sensor at the exhaust end of the main air compressor. It was found that the temperature sensor was dry and oil-free, and green smoke floated out of the hole.
Open the manhole at the bottom of the screw air compressor, remove the oil shutoff valve, and gently turn the valve stem with your fingers to see if it can be pushed back and forth and easily reset. If it is difficult to dial or reset, the oil shutoff valve needs to be further disassembled.
If the valve stem or valve hole is oily, use fine sandpaper to polish it until it slides easily; if the spring is broken or foreign objects are stuck, it will also affect the movement of the valve stem. At this time, it is necessary to replace the spring or clean the spring and spring seat.
In addition to the above reasons, when choosing lubricating oil, it is recommended to use lubricating oil according to the manufacturer’s requirements. Secondly, check the oil level and color of the lubricating oil regularly.
