3 Reference for correct air compressor shutdown steps
There are two types of air compressor shutdown situations, one is normal shutdown and the other is abnormal shutdown. Abnormal shutdown means that an emergency occurs during the operation of the air compressor. So what should we do at this time?

Abnormal shutdown steps for air compressors
If the air compressor cannot be shut down normally due to an accident, the power supply of the air compressor should be cut off immediately to stop the equipment. Close the exhaust valve of the air compressor to avoid backflow of compressed air. Open the high-pressure regulating valve. Open all bypass valves and drain valves on the door of the air compressor. Close the lubricating oil system. If the pressure of the air compressor drops to the suction pressure, immediately close the suction bypass cut-off valve. Finally, the water pump system needs to be turned off.

Normal shutdown steps for air compressors
When the air is no longer needed, the air intake pressure reducing valve needs to be closed, and then the bypass valve (also called unloading valve) is opened to discharge the pressure of each gas path. Unloading cannot be done immediately during this process to avoid accidents caused by impact loads. When the pressure of the air compressor is completely discharged, stop the motor immediately to ensure that the air compressor can be shut down slowly, and finally cut off the power supply. Drain the lubricating oil and open the drain valves of all separators. Stop the oiler and lubricating oil pump. After the air compressor has been shut down for more than 10 minutes, the water inlet valve and cooling water pump can be closed. If the working environment temperature of the air compressor equipment is relatively low, in order to avoid the cooling water in the air compressor from freezing and damaging the cylinder and other components, all the cooling water in the air compressor needs to be drained after shutdown.

Precautions for air compressor shutdown
It should be noted that the air compressor is designed to run for a long time. Frequent shutdown is not good for the operation of the air compressor. If it needs to be shut down for a long time, run the air compressor for 10 minutes without load to avoid rusting of the lubricating parts of the air compressor. Finally, rinse the cylinder jacket and other parts with cooling water. And start the air compressor once every half a month to ensure that all lubricating parts are lubricated.
